Mr. Patch Adams Anderson

Mr. Patch Adams Anderson, affectionately known as “Mr. P” passed away peacefully at home at 7:05 am on Thursday, February 29, 2024 after a brief and sudden illness. He was in his happy place, in his Mommy’s lap on his blanket with his Daddy by his side, giving him all the pets and snuggles that he loved and demanded when his little body tuckered out and he peacefully drifted off to sleep on his own. Mr. Patch was born on February 25, 2011 and came into our lives in 2013 due to a rehoming situation when he was 2 years old. He literally leapt out of a minivan window and his Daddy caught him from several feet away. As they say, the rest was history! From that moment on, he was 100% a Daddy’s boy. Oh, he loved his Mommy and relished laying in her lap every single morning, but the world absolutely revolved around his Daddy. He didn’t like for Daddy to be out of his sight and when he was, everyone knew it. Mr. Patch loved to go camping and exploring. He loved to go for a ride because it usually meant a trip to the doggy spa at Barks & Bubbles Grooming for a day of pampering. He loved Misty and her team at B&B for making him a handsome fella who looked like a million bucks. He relished trips to the pet store and would strut all 13 pounds of his big personality. He loved his donkey, his most favorite toy in the whole wide world. He lived for his after-potty treats, his mini cookies and his special soft cookies. He loved to go night-night because it meant he got to sleep in the same bed as Mommy and Daddy, all snuggled up and warm. His faithful companion and doggy sister, Miss Penny, was always by his side and was his ultimate protector. No one would mess with Mr. Patch if she was around. As a Velcro dog, being left at places like the doggy spa would make him severely anxious. But when Miss Penny came into his world and accompanied him to the doggy spa, his anxiety went away because he felt at ease with her with him. They were bonded and when it was time to go potty, she was sure to tell him it was time to get off the sofa to go outside by being the bossy boss. At suppertime, she bossed him again because she wouldn’t eat until he started on his food. She misses him dearly. Mr. Patch is survived by his human Daddy and Mommy, Ronnie & Susan; his doggy sisters Miss Penny and Pixie River; his brother cats Snickers and Baby Ruth; his loving human grandparents Flint & Peggy, a.k.a. Nonnie & Papa, and Grandma Debbie; his human aunts and uncles Stacy & Tony and Jared & Leigh Ann; his human cousins Kathryn, Lauryn, Anthony, & Maryn and Morgan, Camden, & Harrison; his doggy cousins CeCe and Hawkeye; his first human parents Sandra & Jonathan Skinner who gave him a great start in life; and his groomer Misty Ledford who loved him like her own. We all will miss you fiercely, Mr. Patch. Fly high buddy
